Starbucks and Diesel confirmed for ramp redevelopment in Eyre Square Shopping Centre

Commercial Property Agents Lambert Smith Hampton have confirmed that the construction work on the extensive redevelopment of the main entrance of Eyre Square Shopping Centre is now complete.

The new entrance opened to the public last week and has transformed the customers experience, access and comfort in the Centre. The redesigned elevation fronting onto Eyre Square (Kennedy Park ) ensures the Centre’s renewed prominence in the heart of the City centre.

Lambert Smith Hampton have confirmed that high profile tenants are secured for the main units in the redeveloped section of the Centre with projected opening dates in early March.

Starbucks are opening their flagship Galway store on the first floor mall. The unit extends to 210 sq m (2,260 sq ft ) and enjoys a fabulous view over Eyre Square. It has an outdoor seated area that also overlooks Eyre Square and neighbouring protected structures.

International clothing retailer Diesel will anchor the ground floor when they occupy their unit which extends to 250 sq m (2,690 sq ft ). The tenants are undertaking their respective shop fits and are projected to be open to the public by March.

Regatta Great Outdoors, the outdoor and leisure retailer, have taken the unit adjacent to Starbucks which extends to 207 sq m (2,230 sq ft ).

Lambert Smith Hampton advise that they are in advanced negotiations with tenants for the three remaining kiosk units that extend in size from approx. 90 sq ft to 450 sq ft, and lettings are expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.

Patrick Cormican, letting agent at Lambert Smith Hampton, commented “The short supply of suitable retail units in Galway City Centre and the high volume of both national and international retailers seeking representation within Galway City resulted in the units attracting great interest.

We are delighted with the calibre of the tenants we have secured so far and are confident the new development will be a great success”.
