KAISER CHIEFS, one of Britain's most popular bands, will bring their anthemic brand of indie rock to the Heineken Big Top as part of Galway International Arts Festival 2020.
The band, best known for the songs 'I Predict A Riot' and 'Ruby', will headline the Big Top on Thursday July 23, where they will play tracks from across their two-decade career. As Hot Press said, "The Kaiser Chiefs’ ability to put on a great show will keep them filling arenas for years to come”.
The Leeds quintet released their debit album, Employment, in 2005 which won three Brit Awards, including Best British Group; an NME award for Best Album; and it was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. They have supported U2, Green Day, and Foo Fighters, and were featured in the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. They have released six further studio albums, most recently 2019's Duck.
This is a 'Galway International Arts Festival and Roisín Dubh presents...' event. Tickets go on sale this Friday [March 6] at 10am, priced at €49.50 via www.giaf.ie
