Sustainable living at Galway City Museum

Galway City Museum is this week rolling out the last of the very popular Sustainable Living Series which was funded by Creative Ireland. The aim of the series is to give participants practical tips on how to adopt a more sustainable model of living and to encourage them to start taking small steps to Refuse, Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle and Rot.

By simply applying these Seven Rs to your everyday life you are supporting a more sustainable lifestyle which also helps to protect the environment.

A Beach Clean will take place on Saturday May 4 from 10am to 12pm, meeting at the Claddagh Hall, South Park. Everyone is welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate footwear for slippery conditions and also remember to wrap up warm.

The final talk in the series on Ireland’s Pollinators will be delivered by Dr. Dara Stanley, UCD, on Saturday 11 May from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Here you will learn about the many different types of pollinators in Ireland, what they do and all about the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan that is working hard to protect them (Ages 8 + ).
