Galway theatre-makers sought for 'Digital Practices' lab

Second open-call for intensive seven-day residency on Inis Ă“irr at the end of April

THE GALWAY Theatre Festival has announced a second open call for applications to for its 'Make a Move' project, an intensive seven-day residency on Inis Óirr at the end of April.

The 'Make a Move' project is aimed at individual artists or collectives in contemporary physical and movement-based theatre. It is an opportunity for Irish artists to meet and work with European theatre-makers, develop new skills, and work towards developing international projects for European funding. It is funded through the Creative Europe programme of the EU, Galway 2020, the Arts Council, and the Galway City Council.

The focus of the residency is on 'digital practices', and will allow participants to explore aspects of the digital as it relates to theatre, including using new digital technologies in their work, online audience development, and developing digital marketing strategies and skills.
