The Three Tenors at Salthill Church

Popular trio to perform songs by Sinatra, Pavarotti, and R.E.M.

THE MUCH loved Three Tenors are coming to Christ The King Church, Salthill, to perform their annual Galway Christmas concert, which will also raise funds for St Vincent de Paul.

The tenors - Shane Morgan, Dominic McGorian, and Derek Moloney - will perform sacred music ('Ave Maria', 'O Holy Night' ), songs from the musicals (‘Over the Rainbow’ ), Sinatra ('My Way' ), Pavarotti ('O Sole Mio' ), R.E.M. ('Everybody Hurts’ ), and folk (‘Homes of Donegal’, ‘Caledonia’ ).

The Three Tenors have enjoyed sell-out shows in Belfast's Waterfront and Lyric theatres, and the Cork Opera House, Shane, Dominic, and Derek, are now the only trio performing annually in those venues, as well as in the National Concert Hall, Dublin. In February 2018, the trio performed live on RTÉ Radio 1's Sunday with Miriam. The Sunday Independent called them "fabulous", while The New York Times declared them "the most delicious box of chocolates your ears could ever have."

The concert is on Saturday December 15 at 8pm. Tickets are €25 from the parish office (091 - 523413, [email protected] ); O'Connors Centra, Salthill; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; and Ticketmaster.
