THE GALWAY International Arts Festival has announced the second of its Big Top concerts for next summer. Bell X1 will play the iconic venue in the Fisheries Field on Friday July 19 2019.
Bell X1 are one of Ireland’s most popular bands, second only to U2 in terms of radio play and, according to Billboard, the second biggest live performers. Four of the band's albums have been nominated for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year and three have debuted at #1 on the Irish Album Charts.
Their previous festival Big Top concerts in 2016 and 2011 are regarded as among the most memorable arts festival music shows of the last decade. For the 2019 show, expect to hear hits from their canon of critically-acclaimed albums, including ‘Rocky Took a Lover’, ‘The Great Defector’, ‘The End is Nigh’, and ‘Flame’.
This is a 'Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh presents...' event. Tickets go on sale on Friday December 7 at 9am, at €35, from www.giaf.ie and roisindubh.net GIAF 19 runs from July 15 to 28.
