Aoife’s Clown Doctors have been nominated as this year’s Galway Masters Tournament Charity. The Clown Doctors are currently funded by ‘The Friends of Aoife Hendrick’ which was set up in memory of five-year-old Aoife Hendrick who sadly lost her battle to leukaemia in 2012. Clown Doctors Razzmatazz and Ditzy Glitzy launched the tournament recently at UCHG’s paediatric unit.

Sarsfields won the Loughrea Hotel & Spa Galway Senior Camogie Championship final at the weekend, defeating Mullagh by 3-10 to 1-7 to regain the trophy they won last year.

Sarsfields started superbly with early goals from Orla McGrath and Tara Kenny to lead by 2-2 to no-score after only eight minutes.
