St. Michael’s are looking for an immediate return to senior level and their dismantling of Oranmore/Maree in their semi-final has installed them as clear favourites against a side that have won all of their games so far this year.

Conor Penney of Calasanctius College and Craughwell AC was outstanding. He smashed the Tailteann Games High Jump record with a huge 2.09 metre effort. Penney leaped up to 2.05 metres clearing all heights on his first attempt, and then set the record initially by jumping over at 2.07m and added further to it when clearing 2.09m on his second attempt for an amazing victory.
