There was a tremendous athmosphere around Tuam Stadium last Sunday afternoon before throw-in for the senior game. The healthy queues of people at the turnstiles were all in great form and full of good humoured banter and there was great colour to be seen all around the ground.

There is a gush of expectation and excitement in Galway football circles this week in anticipation of a first county final between Tuam Stars and Corofin for 16 years.
The game is fixed for 3pm this Sunday in Tuam Stadium and both sets of supporters are asked to turn up in big numbers for the highlight of the club competition in the county.

Galway teenagers have claimed the honours and a new rescue boat at the finals of the ISA Yachtsman Euromarine Rib Challenge.
Fionn Delahunty (16), Ciaran Jordan (14) and Eamonn Murphy (12), representing Galway Sail Sports Club, fought off challenges from 14 sailing clubs to win a new powerboat valued at €12,500 for their club.
