Hurling board to meet on Monday

A new hurling manager to success John McIntyre could be announced at next Monday evening’s hurling board meeting.

Three candidates are seeking the job - Galway u-21 boss Anthony Cunningham, Portumna’s John Kelly, and Clarinbridge’s Micheal Donoghue.

Cunningham hopes to bring former All Star Tom Helebert and Mattie Kenny with him, while John Kelly has lined up former Galway great Tony Keady and Tipperary’s Dinnie Cahill, a former Antrim manager.
