SEAN LYSAGHT, Tim Dwyer, and Gráinne McHale are the featured readers at the Over The Edge: Open Reading in Galway City Library on Thursday March 26 at 6.30pm.

Limerickman Seán Lysaght lectures at the GMIT. He is the author of the poetry collections Noah’s Irish Ark (1989), The Clare Island Survey (1991), Scarecrow (1998), Erris (2002), and The Mouth of a River (2007), and Carnival Masks (2014). His biography Robert Lloyd Praeger: The Life of a Naturalist was published by Four Courts Press in 1998.

Creative writing classes

CREATIVE WRITING classes for beginners and intermediates take place at the Galway Technical Institute, Father Griffin Road, next month.

Classes for beginners with the poet Kevin Higgins, start on April 13, running on Mondays from 7pm to 9.30pm for seven weeks. Kevin will provide writing exercises and feedback to those writing stories, poems, or memoir.
