Galway United Head of Academy Johnny Glynn looks forward to the return of SSE Airtricity League underage action.

Phil Trill, Galway WFC Youth Development Manager, is also preparing for a busy weekend.

Aaron Connolly was a hugely promising youngster with Maree/Oranmore and Mervue United before making a switch to Brighton & Hove Albion. Connolly has subsequently featured for the Republic of Ireland senior international team and remains an exciting prospect in the Premier League.

OLLIE NEARY

Ollie Neary enjoyed a productive League of Ireland career with Galway United as an accomplished midfielder. In recent years Neary has helped to develop young talent with successful Mervue United outfits.

DAMIEN BRENNAN

Damien Brennan played for Galway United and was a highly regarded performer for Mervue United. During the past couple of decades Brennan has been a leading coach with Mervue's juvenile outfits.

JOHNNY GLYNN

The scorer of Galway United's FAI Cup winning goal in 1991, Johnny Glynn is involved with the club as Head of Academy and is also part of John Caulfield's backroom staff with the first team.

PHIL TRILL

Phil Trill

Phil Trill is an emerging coach, who has assisted in the development of several excellent Galway WFC players. In his role as Youth Development Manager, Trill takes charge of Galway WFC's U17 and U19 sides in national competition which commence this weekend.
