Vinny Faherty
Moycullen native Vinny Faherty signed for Galway United in 2007 after a promising spell with Salthill Devon. It was the first of Faherty's four spells with the Eamonn Deacy Park club. Faherty also played for St Patrick's Athletic, Dundalk, Limerick FC, and Sligo Rovers, while also featuring for Moreland Zebras in Australia and PAEEK in Cyprus. Faherty retired from League of Ireland duty at the end of last season and will feature again for Salthill Devon locally.
Martin Horgan
Martin Horgan has made a huge contribution to football in Galway throughout the decades. The retired teacher helped many footballers develop at St Mary's College winning several All Ireland titles. Horgan is now a driving force behind the thriving Maree/Oranmore club.
Dave Daly
From a famous Galway football family, Dave Daly is in charge of Corrib Rangers. The Western Hygiene Supplies Premier Division resumes on Monday when Rangers host West United at the Westside. Daly acknowledges the importance of junior football and how Rangers want to develop talent.
