Connolly welcomes proposal for two new pedestrian crossings

Plans from Galway City Council to install two new pedestrian crossings on roads in the west of the city in 2023 have been welcomed by a local councillor.

Cllr John Connolly said that for some time he has been pursuing the development of a pedestrian crossing in Rahoon to complement the ongoing works on the enhancement of Millers Lane.

Music Generation Programmes inspire young music talent

An inspirational evening was had at Galway Community College, Wellpark Road last Thursday as local young musicians taking part in Music Generation Programmes from local youth services such as Foróige picked up electric guitars, keyboards or microphones and drew in their audience. Another special treat came from TUSLA family services staff who strongly supported the young musicians of tomorrow onstage.
