People Before Profit Galway have produced a document putting forward their vision for the future of transport in Galway, to be launched in the city tomorrow. The party will hold a launch of the document on Friday 24th March, at 2pm downstairs in Áras na nGael, Dominick Street.
Speaking at the launch will be People Before Profit TD Gino Kenny, and the party’s three candidates for the 2024 local elections in Galway city – Adrian Curran (City Central), Maisie McMaster (City West) and Denman Rooke (City East).

The second Irish Vegan Gala will be held in the Western Hotel on Prospect Hill this Sunday from 12-5pm and everyone is invited to attend.
Irish Vegan Gala was set up last April, 2022 in Galway by local vegans to advocate for veganism by showcasing local food and other producers including art, music, crafts in a relaxed social setting allowing vegans and not as yet-vegans to mix and interact.

The scheme focuses on the demands placed on young carers in balancing their learning and caring commitments, and will provide practical support to help them re-enter work and education.

Despite everything Madra's staff and volunteers do for her and the love they have for her, this just isn't a suitable life for her. And if they are quite honest, they just don't understand why it has never been Polly's turn to find her forever home.

Bury’s historical focus was Classical Greece and Rome. In 1888 he had published A History of the Later Roman Empire from Arcadius to Irene (AD395 to AD800), and he was at this time researching another study of this period.

Galway City West and Knocknacarra councillor Donal Lyons said that in mid February, the public lighting had to be turned off in Clybaun Heights due to a serious fault on the network.
