It is the perhaps one of the last times that the media will see inside it fully, because from next month it will become the temporary and private home of many families who experience domestic violence in Galway every year and who require a place to flee to, receive respite, to be cosseted. New radiation oncology centre to open in 2022

Construction will begin shortly on a new three-storey radiation oncology centre at University Hospital Galway. The facility is expected to open in two years.

It will include seven radiotherapy treatment vaults, a brachytherapy suite, two CT rooms, on-treatment support and ancillary physics, treatment planning, and administration facilities.

We are just one group of thousands who do this a few times a week, up and down the country. Instilling a love of football into those in our charge, in the hope that they get as much enjoyment out of it as we did when we chased a ball up and down a pitch.
