The European Parliament through, Together EU, have teamed up with Galway virtual runner John Jennings to encourage you to vote in the European Elections in June. It is a project which encourages the public to get fit in the ‘run up’ (pun intended) to the European Elections.
John is a fan of virtual running and participates in many different virtual running events, including the Athletics Ireland Virtual Runs. The idea came to him when he joined Together EU. John was thinking of ways to encourage people to vote and he noted that first you have to know where your voting station is, then you must figure out how to get there. He suddenly realized that voting had all the key elements of a virtual running event.
