RORY GALLAGHER fans are in for a treat when England’s Shinkicker bring their salute to the great Irish blues-rock guitarist to Monroe’s Live this Sunday.
Shinkicker, fronted by the electrifying and charismatic lead guitarist and vocalist Chris Stuckey, are annual headliners at the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon and over the past 12 months have completed three tours of Europe and five tours of Ireland. They have also played support to Walter Trout, Peter Green, and Wilco Johnson.

MEXICAN FOLK band Tacumba, who worked with The Chieftains on their San Patricios album, play The Crane on Tuesday at 8pm.
This six piece band are one of the most respected traditional groups in Mexico and the special guests on the night will be Matt Molloy. The show is part of a weekend long commemoration of the San Patricio Brigade.

BLUE TEAPOT Theatre Company will showcase the world premiere of 84, a new screenplay by Len Collin, at Druid Lane Theatre tomorrow at 8pm.
84 is set in a dystopian, Orwellian Ireland where those who do not fit in to the regime’s ideals are ‘disappeared’. However, as long as there are people willing to challenge authority there is hope for the future. 84 will be premiered as a performance reading.
