Whisper it ever so quietly but there might be a slight turn in the weather. It may not be spring temperatures or weather just yet but it seems that we may have just got through the horrendous cycle of rain and grimness.
The only positive to the weather being as bad as it has been is that we have spent plenty of time in our homes, providing us with an opportunity to think about what designs and innovations we want for our abodes for spring and summer.

Bright, bold, colours
This year is the year for bright colours to take centre stage and leave neutral tones in the shadows. Strong blues, bright oranges, and forest greens will be all on the agenda for the spring 2018 makeover of the home. Make the changeover from bland to bold with furniture or accessories. Blankets and rugs can also play their part in the colour transformation.
Dark woods
Whereas colours of furniture and accessories may be brighter for 2018, dark woods are to be expected such as dark oak, mahogany, and textured walnut pieces this year.
Vintage accessories
Vintage accessories are back. Do some research on what era of design connects with you the most and use those types of accessories as your inspiration.
Pattern plants
It was believed that houseplants had their day in 2017 but they enjoyed the limelight so much they have decided to stick around. Pattern plants are what is in this year and with a choice of colours and designs, plants is one of the cheapest ways to give a room a new lease of life.
