Gardai probe burglaries in city and county

A house on Wellpark Road was broken into on Thursday April 5 at 3pm. The home owners returned to find the front window forced open and a number of items stolen.

These included a red Nanova notebook, an Alcatal 10 inch tablet, an iPhone 5C in a Minions case, a Guess charm bracelet, a gold Kilkenny bracelet, a Newbridge silver bracelet, a red HP laptop, and a gold ring with three small diamonds. Anyone with information should contact 091 538000.

Gardai are also appealing for information following a burglary at a children’s centre in Kinvara last week. The facility was burgled on Friday April 6 at around 1.30pm.

A small safe containing a considerable amount of cash was taken from the premises. Anyone with information is asked to contact Craughwell Garda Station at 091 876 320, or Gort Garda Station on 091 636400.

Many recent burglaries have involved the theft of cash and jewellery. Gardai are advising people not to keep sums of cash at home and to ensure jewellery is stored securely, particularly valuable items.
