Six stone lighter, new Weight Watchers coach to open class in Moycullen

Valerie Leahy, a busy, working mum-of-two, celebrated her 50th birthday last year over six stone lighter, thanks to Weight Watchers. She lost 85lb in only 11 months, going down five clothes sizes, and reversing two serious health conditions in the process (largely due to weight loss benefits ).

“I love WW’s SmartPoints system, that has now evolved into the new Flex programme, offering even more flexibility and healthier choices," she said. "Weight Watchers is about real life: you can eat well, move more, and achieve great results while indulging in delicious family-friendly food.

"I lost an average of 2lb per week to get to my goal weight, and am maintaining that weight loss now for over seven months. I never felt deprived or ‘on a diet’. Rather, I never ate more, but now I choose healthy options. WW gave me all the tools and support to change my lifestyle, making me so much healthier and happier in the process.”

Valerie Leahy attended Mary Plunkett’s classes in Knocknacarra and was so inspired by Mary and by the flexibility of the WW programme that she decided to train as a WW coach and set up her own classes.

These start in Moycullen (upstairs in the Coach House Pub, Main Street ) on Tuesday April 10. There are two classes on offer, starting at 5pm and 6.15pm. Email [email protected] for more information.

“I’m so looking forward to inspiring and motivating you to start on your own weight-loss and wellness journey," Ms Leahy said. "I’ve lots of tips, tricks, and recipes to share. And with WW Flex, it will be such an enjoyable process. See you in class in Moycullen on April 10 to find out more.”
