Gardai have renewed their appeal for information following a fatal crash in Ballinasloe last week.
Maureen Dooley and Deirdre Kilmartin, two friends from Ballinasloe town, lost their lives in the collision on Station Road last Thursday, March 22, at around 5.45pm.
It is understood that two cars were involved in the collision, and one of these cars struck the two women, who were out walking at the time.
Gardai are anxious to speak to anyone who was in the area of Station Road immediately before the collision, as well as anyone who witnessed the crash.
The accident happened close to Ballinasloe Garda Station and it is likely the area was busy at the time.
