Love conquers all!! Not even ‘Storm Emma’ or ‘The Beast from the East’ come between our hopeful singles. Last Wednesday & Thursday night our matched hopefuls descended upon The Skeff Late Bar & Kitchen to meet their blind date!
With no prior knowledge of their date, tensions and nerves were bound to be expected on arrival. Our hosts including ,Galway Bay Fm’s ,Ronan Lardner (Thurs night ) greeted everyone on arrival before settling them to our meet & greet area with a selection of complimentary cocktails.
The setting was complete.. candle lit tables overlooking Eyre Square, soft music and beautiful red roses from Go Dutch Florist. From there, it was over to Cupid.
Early reports back from our hopefuls include some hits & some misses but all couples enjoying the night and feeling great to have done something outside of their comfort zone.
Traditional dating is certainly not extinct just yet!
“Whilst, we received hundreds of applications, it is so unfortunate that we could not match more couples on this occasion- but watch this space”, mentioned event team member, Nicola Kerrigan.
Thank you to all of our sponsors who made the event possible; Lally Tours, Anti Wrinkle Galway, Print on, Barry’s Hair Studio, Galway Bay Fm, Go Dutch Flowers & GALWAY now.
We are delighted to announce that our sister hotel in Athlone will be hosting a First Dates Athlone on April 26th. We would encourage all men & women in every age bracket to apply.
