Galway's Cat Turner releases new single and EP

Electro-pop producer/singer issues 'Waster' ahead of debut EP Contrast

CAT TURNER, the Galway-based electro-pop producer/singer has released her new single, 'Waster', as a taster for her debut EP Contrast, which is out tomorrow.

With its shadowy synths, deep bass, and unnerving mood of menace, 'Waster' sees Cat create her own niche of 'electro-Goth pop'. ''Waster’ is about an internal battle with myself where the stronger, more driven, side of my personality wants to kill the weaker side," she explains. Inspired by Grimes and Tove Lo she began producing a year ago. She said the decision "came from a place of necessity". "It scared me to do it myself," she said, "which was the exact reason I had to. Now it comes from a place of total passion."
