A good laugh for Irish Guide Dogs

NUIG Comedy Society host a day of laughter for a good cause

NUI GALWAY Comedy Society is holding a day-long fundraiser for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, with events taking place on campus, including a comedy show, featuring Edwin Sammon of Republic of Telly and Bridget & Eamon.

The fundraiser is on Monday March 12 and the fun starts at 12 noon with two bake sales, one in the lobby of the James Hardiman Library, the other in the lobby of Aras na MacLeinn, next to Sult, the College Bar. All are welcome to have coffee and tasty treats and meet some of furry representatives of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. The charity supports people who are visually impaired and families of children with autism by providing life-changing services.

The day will conclude with an epic evening of laughs, featuring Margaret McHugh, Johnny Graham, Eddie Mullarkey, Steven Sharpe, Niall Horisk, Kari Johnson, John Spillane, Breda Larkin, and Edwin Sammon, in the Corrib Room of Sult. Doors are at 7.30pm.

Tickets are €5 for students and €10 for the general public. Tickets are available from Socs Box NUIG; Socs Webstore; on the door; and on Eventbrite.ie (for non-students ). All proceeds from the day will go to IGD.
