Burglaries in Gort
Two premises in Gort were burgled overnight on Monday/Tuesday.
A phone shop on Bridge Street in the town was broken into at around 3am on Tuesday February 20. Some 40 mobile phones were stolen from the premises.
Just after 3am, a hairdresser's in the town was also broken into.
Anyone who was in Gort in the early hours of Tuesday and noticed anything unusual is asked to contact Gort Garda Station at 091 636400.
Robbery in Athenry
Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a petrol station on the Dublin Road in Athenry last weekend.
The incident happened at 8.30pm on Saturday. A lone man entered the shop with a knife and demanded money from the cashier. He then made off with a large quantity of cash.

Burglary in Loughrea
A cafe on Railway Road in Loughrea was broken into last week. Damage was caused to the premises during the burglary, which occurred on the night of Tuesday February 13, and a safe taken.
Anyone who noticed unusual activity in Loughrea on the night of February 13 is asked to contact Loughrea Gardai on 090 842870.
Burglary in Kilbeacanty
Also on the night of Tuesday February 13, a work shed in Gurteenboy, Kilbeacanty, Gort was broken into and a number of power tools were stolen.
Two Husquavara chainsaws, a Partner chainsaw, and two strimmers were taken.

Burglaries in Knocknacarra
Two houses in Knocknacarra were burgled during the day last Friday, February 16.
A house in Woodfield on the Cappagh Road was broken in to at some time between 12 noon and 7pm, and a large quantity of jewellery was taken, including a Michael Korrs watch, white gold stud earrings, and various other items. A sum of cash was also stolen.
If you have information on jewellery being offered for sale, in unusual circumstances, or if you noticed suspicious activity in the Cappagh Road during the day on Friday, contact Salthill Garda Station at 091 514720.
Also on the Cappagh Road last Friday, a house in Cimin Mor was burgled, and a gold engagement ring and wedding ring were taken along with a large quantity of cash.

Gardai are also advising householders to ensure their jewellery is secure, and to avoid keeping large sums of cash at home.
Road safety
Gardai are appealing to all road users to continue to exercise caution on the roads as the evenings get brighter.
Dawn and dusk can be particularly tricky times on the roads and motorists are asked to be mindful of this.
Pedestrians and cyclists should light up, wear high viz clothing, and observe the rules of the road.
