Creedence Clearwater revived

CCR tribute band, Creedence Awakened, to play Monroe's Live in March

BETWEEN 1968 and 1972, Creedence Clearwater Revival released seven albums - a staggering three alone in 1969 - enjoying enormous artistic, commercial, and critical success in that period.

Led by songwriter John Fogarty, the band fused hard rock, blues, roots, country, folk, swamp rock, and Americana, and scored hits with such classics as 'Bad Moon Rising', 'Proud Mary', 'Fortunate Sun', 'Who'll Stop The Rain', and 'Have You Ever Seen The Rain?'. The great songs of Creedence will be performed in Monroe’s Live on Friday March 16 by CCR tribute band Creedence Awakened. Tickets are €10 from www.monroes.ie and www.ticketweb.ie
