Steven Sharpe and Tara Stacey - live

An upstairs gig in the Róisín Dubh

THE OUTRAGEOUSLY brilliant Steve Sharpe, and the quirkily wonderful Tara Stacey, will be in the upstairs bar of the Róisín Dubh, for a double bill of great music and song.

Steven has a vivacious, witty, and soulful style which blends music, humour and storytelling, while his music mixes blues-rock, folk, indie, pop, spoken word, and musical theatre. Along with his band, The Broke Straight Boys, he released his superb debut studio album, Shut Up Dylan, in May 2017. He was named Galway Advertiser Solo Artist of the Year in 2014.

From County Galway, singer-songwriter Tara Starey switches between acoustic guitar and baritone ukulele. She came to national prominence last June after entering Tom Dunne's Newstalk competition to find Ireland's best singer-songwriter, making it to the final three with her song 'Candles'. She has also released the debut EP Old Flames.

The show takes place on Friday March 2 at 9pm. Admission is €5.
