One of Galway's best-loved shops, Galway Crafts & Collectables, is packing up and moving to Athenry.
Galway Crafts & Collectables closed at the end of January after almost four years of bringing some of the best vintage and antique items to Galway.
The shop will be rebranded as Athenry Antiques and will re-open in the town at the end of February.
Owners of Galway Crafts & Collectables, Victoria and Dave, said the move to Athenry had been in the pipeline for some time.
"We have been planning on relocating to Athenry since we moved to the area five years ago. It is a wonderful medieval walled town, the castle, the ruins of the abbey, the North Gate, and market cross are only a few of the standout areas of historical interest and all within two minutes' walk of each other.
"Athenry is booming as it is serviced by the train line and both motorways. We have taken the biggest available shop in the centre of town with the intention of adding antique and vintage furniture to our already popular line up of antiques and collectables."
