Leading Irish archaeologist Michael Gibbons will give an illustrated talk on his work in the Gort Library on Saturday March 28 at 3pm.
Michael Gibbons is a member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland. He has 28 years’ experience as an archaeologist and has worked with the Department of Antiquities in Jerusalem and for the Museum of London City Excavation Programme. He is also a founder member of the Croagh Patrick Archaeology Committee.
His publications include a Connemara: Visions of Iar Chonnacht (2004 ) and numerous articles for History Ireland.
