The GBC restaurant in Williamsgate Street is inviting one and all to try its new budget friendly lunch menu, available only in the table service restaurant upstairs, commencing this week.
The restaurant is open daily from 12 noon and this menu is available all day.
There is a wide variety of new options available, from light bites to many of the old favourites. It is undoubtedly excellent value for money.
The restaurant also offers a daily special main course for only €8.50.
There is plenty to choose from when it comes to mains on the new menu, with a roast of the day (beef €11.50/lamb €11.50/pork €10.50 ), delicious roast chicken (€10.50 ), and turkey and ham (€10 ), along with a juicy grilled 8oz sirloin steak with sautéed onions and mushrooms (€13.95 ), and succulent steamed fillet of salmon (€11.50 ), all served with creamed potatoes and vegetables.
And that is not all — diners can also enjoy tasty beef lasagne (€10.50 ), pan fried chicken (€9.50 ), spaghetti Bolognaise (€10 ), and goujons of haddock (€10.50 ), along with a daily vegetarian option (€9.50 ), all served with salad and chips.
Those who fancy something lighter are spoiled for choice with the new light bites menu, which includes delicious homemade vegetable soup — an excellent gluten free option — with a choice of brown or gluten free bread (€4.50 ) or a roll (€3.95 ). The restaurant also serves hearty seafood chowder with brown bread (€5.95 ).
There really is something for everyone with garlic mushrooms served with side salad (€4.95 ), barbecue chicken wings with side salad (€6.95 ), and large (€10 ) and small (€7.50 ) salad plates, served with brown bread; or tuck into a baked potato served with side salad and a choice of filling — Bolognaise, beans, tuna, cheese, or bacon. Mix and match with one filling for €5.95, two for €6.95, or three for €7.95.
