FOR THE past seven years, the Open Mic Night at the Róisín Dubh has promoted, supported, and encouraged new, aspirant, and emerging Galway musicians - now it goes a step further with its new 'Open Mic Presents...' nights.
The Open Mic Night has become one of the busiest open mics in the country, attracting musicians from across Ireland every Sunday night. In keeping with the aims to support Galway's musicial talent, Open Mic hosts Tracy Bruen and Steven Sharpe, present a new evening, Open Mic Presents.... The first such event takes place on Wednesday February 7 at 9pm with sets from Pa Reidy, Magda Li, and Imanuel Kleeberg. Admission is free but the audience will be asked to contribute to a donation box, with all proceeds going directly to the musicians.
