Members of the public interested in volunteering in their community are invited to the Galway City Volunteer Recruitment Fair in the Galway Bay Hotel on Sunday January 28 from 2pm to 5pm.
The fair, organised by Volunteer Galway, will feature more than 40 charities and community organisations from across the city. Last year more than 800 people attended the event, and Labour city councillor and event organiser Niall McNelis is hoping there will be a similarly strong attendance for the 20187 event.
Donncha Foley, development manager of Volunteer Galway, said: “There will be a wide variety of volunteer roles available to suit people’s own busy schedules. Come along and see how you can get involved and be part of it.”
