Seth Troxler makes Galway debut @ Electric

Figurehead of the new wave of underground electronic music plays tomorrow night

BIG HAIR! Bigger personality! Seth Troxler, one of dance music’s most recognisable characters, does not take himself, or life, too seriously, but he is serious when it comes to music, as he will show Galway tonight.

Seth's passion for, and seemingly endless knowledge of, house and techno, have established him as a figurehead for a new wave of underground electronic music that flies in the face of mainstream ‘EDM’. In 2015 he released his 'official mix CD' album, DJ Kicks, which Clashmusic.com called "experimental enough to remain educational, technical enough to remain exciting, and honest enough to let his personality shine through in his music".

Later that year he curated a sold out warehouse party, Acid Future, at the Tobacco Dock in London. He also holds quarterly appearances at fabric (London ), Output (New York ). and De School (Amsterdam ) along with his a regular 10-week residency at Circo Loco (Ibiza ). He also runs his own dance dance floor focused label, Play it Say it. In addition to his touring and collaborations, he co-runs the restaurant Smokey Tails in Bethnal Green Road, London.

Seth Troxler plays Electric's first Hoolie of 2018 tomorrow night [Thursday Janaury 11] from 10pm. Support is from Paul Belton. Tickets are available at the door. Boots & Kats play Electric’s main floor next Thursday.
