SOS, A new gig night celebrating Galway city and county's diverse original music community, will be launched on Saturday January 20 at 7pm at Nuns Island Theatre.
The evening starts with refreshments and a set from DJ Graham Dolan. This will be followed by an all ages open mic before local rockers and winners of the Irish youth music awards, JANAJ take the stage. The night will be rounded off by Galway garage pop four-piece, Dott.
Sos. is a voluntary run event that promotes social inclusion and positive mental health through the medium of creativity in music. The night is drug and alcohol free and open to all, young and old. It is run in partnership with the Galway Arts Centre, the Galway City Council, and the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre. Admission is free.
