Danny O' Brien - RaconTour

Rising star of Irish comedy plays Róisín Dubh this weekend

AFTER INHERITING a broken-down, unreliable, older-than-he-is motorcycle, award winning Irish comedian Danny O'Brien decided to take to the road on a comedic expedition.

The stories he heard, the people he met, and the adventures he had, along with the journey's attendant glory, failures, and triumphs, will be told in his new show, RaconTour, which he performs at the Róisín Dubh on Saturday January 13 at 8pm.

The new shows come off the back of a highly successful 2017 for the Irish comic. Following in the footsteps of Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran, and Dara Ó Briain, Danny was handpicked to perform as part of the iconic Best of The Edinburgh Fest show in Australia, touring the Perth World Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival, and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He also enjoyed a sell-out, month long, run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and a tour of South East Asia.

Danny is a winner of the coveted Father Ted 'Tedfest' Award and is no stranger to critical acclaim. "It won’t be too much longer before stadiums come calling” (Irish Examiner ); "He looks set to be one of the breakout comedy stars of 2018" (The Sunday Independent ).

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
