Band marks 25th anniversary of classic album Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde

BIZARRE RIDE II The Pharcyde was the 1992 debut album of American hip hop group The Pharcyde. Since its release, it has been hailed by music critics and alternative hip-hop fans as a classic, and has appeared in numerous publications' best albums lists.

The Pharcyde - Fatlip, Slimkid3, K-Natural, and DJ Manwell - spent 2017 marking the album's 25th anniversary and are extending the celebrations into this year as they will be performing the album at Monroe's Live on Thursday March 16 at 8pm.

Featuring tracks like ‘Passin Me By’, ‘Ya Mama’ and ‘4 Better or 4 Worse’, the album is as funny and thought provoking as it is funky. It also helped usher in an age of alternative West Coast hip-hop where The Pharcyde, alongside Jurassic 5 and Freestyle Fellowship, offered something different to the gangster rap dominating the scene at the time.
