SHE LIVES and works in Florence, but she was born and reared in Headford. She is cellist and vocalist Naomi Berrill, and she coming back to Galway to launch hew new album, To The Sky.
Naomi will perform works from To The Sky, her second album, at The Black Gate Cultural Centre, St Francis Street, this Saturday at 8pm. The album features 10 original compositions by Naomi, which are grouped around the theme of 'Water'. As a result there are songs about seamen, lighthouse keepers, and far away lands. Her music mixes classical, folk, and jazz, and on the album she is accompanied by Simone Graziano on piano, and her brothers Matthew on clarinet and Peter on trumpet.
