The Galleon Restaurant in Salthill has always been recognised for its infectious family ethos, great food, attention to detail, and wonderful customer service.
Established in 1965, The Galleon is a family business by its very definition and is also one of the most family-friendly restaurants one could possibly find.
One of the things The Galleon has become most famed for over the years is its roast dinners and this week, head chef Keith Kivlehan, is mixing it up with a new offering called the Family Feast.
“We serve hundreds of roast dinners every day at The Galleon and I wanted to come up with a dish for a whole family. The Family Feast will feed a family of five, with a roast, alongside mash, roast potatoes, and vegetables. It is also very cost effective at just €55.”
Every day, there will be two choices for families who wish to avail of this special offer. Beef will always be on the menu, with a second offering too. Of course, families can make a real meal out of it if they like, by opting to sample some of The Galleon’s homemade desserts once all the plates are cleaned.
General manager at The Galleon, Geraldine Lyons, believes the Family Feast will go down a treat with their many loyal customers. “It is as good as being at home but without the cleaning up afterwards.”
Lyons, Kivlehan, and the team are looking forward to catching up with all their customers over the Christmas. “It is lovely to see all the familiar faces returning home for Christmas so we are really excited to see everyone," says Lyons.
The Galleon will be closed on December 24, 25, and 26, and will reopen at 10am on Wednesday December 27.
