HER MUSIC has been described as "lo-fi singer-songwriter folk" by Nialler9 and "subtle indie-folk" by The Last Mixed Tape. She is Maija Sofia, and she plays the next Bus King gig.
Maija Sofia plays Bus King in The Crustbucket pizza bus in the beergarden of Carroll's, Dominick Street, this Saturday at 3pm. She has released the EP The Sugar Sea and the singles 'Stains’ and 'Persephone’. The Thin Air has called her music "bewitching, almost voyeuristic" and compared her to Mazzy Star and CocoRosie.
The show is organised by Galway-based independent record label Rusted Rail. Admission is free, but space is limited. Early arrival is advised.
