Cinderella is this year's Limerick panto

Samantha Mumba and Dayl Cronin to star in this year's production

MAGIC, ROMANCE, a feisty heroine, a handsome prince, dubious sisters in need of a beauty blogger boot camp, chart hits, and hilarity will combine in Cinderella, this year's SPAR Panto at the University Concert Hall, Limerick.

Samantha Mumba, recently seen on Celebrity Masterchef, joins the UCH Panto cast for the first time. Her debut single 'Gotta Tell You' reached No 1 in the Irish, British, and US charts in 2000. She clocked up a number of hits, which in total have sold almost five million copies. She has also worked with Steven Spielberg, Vinnie Jones, Roger Daltrey, and Patrick Bergin, and is now preparing to be “booed” off the stage as she plays Cinderella’s evil Stepmother.

Joining Samantha will be Dayl Cronin, Dancing With The Stars semi-finalist and former member of Irish boyband Hometown, who will play Prince Charming. The cast also includes Richie Hayes (Buttons ), Leanne Moore (Fairy Godmother ), comedian Tom O’Mahony (Dandini ), Myles Breen and Richard Lynch (Ugly Sisters ), and Hayley-Jo Murphy (Cinderella ) in her UCH Panto debut.

Cinderella runs from December 18 to January 7 with matinee and evening shows. There will be a sensory friendly performance on Friday January 5 at 2pm, with an Irish Sign Language interpreter on stage. Tickets are from €18.50 via www.uch.ie or 061 - 33154.
