The International School of Make-up Artistry is currently taking enrolments for its full-time and part-time courses.
For those that currently hold an ITEC qualification, the teacher training part-time course may be of interest. This course qualifies participants with an international qualification and graduates will be eligible to tutor in an ITEC registered college on successful completion.
Those that would like to qualify to become professional make-up artists can choose between part-time and full-time options. These courses cover all areas of beauty make-up, from beginners to advanced levels, including day, evening, bridal, airbrushing, fashion make-up and all the latest trend looks. Students also have the opportunity to complete a professional photoshoot as part of their training.
The School of Make-up Artistry spans more than 25 years. Its trainers are highly experienced after working for many years within the industry, including on international fashion shows such as Paris, Milan, and London fashion weeks. They have also worked on high fashion magazines, TV and film, and are eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the students. Some 75 per cent of the course is practical based and is suitable for adults of all ages.
Diploma students receive a MAC make-up kit valued at more than €300 compliments of the school when they begin their course, and also have the opportunity to become MAC Pro student members, receiving a discount with a variety of cosmetic companies.
The school has placed more than 80 per cent of their past students in secure positions in Ireland and abroad. Some of the graduates from the school are now working for leading cosmetic houses, such as MAC, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Laura Mercier, in Brown Thomas Stores and in leading pharmacies throughout Ireland.
Others are working as freelance make-up artists, specialising in bridal, special occasion and fashion make-up, while others are enjoying a career in TV/film and theatre.
