When insulating a house, the company injects ecobead platinum bonded bead in the cavity walls even when there is existing aerobord insulation. This significantly improves the heat retention and also fills in any gaps in the older insulation. The company installs Knauf Rolled insulation in the attics.
John Folan of West Coast Insulation says; “Most attics have some existing fibreglass insulation at around 100 to 150mm depth. The problem with fibreglass is that it shrinks over time and needs to be replaced. We install Knuaf insulation to over 300mm giving the best U-values possible. We also fit the insulating jackets and lids around the tanks, fit the heavy duty 19mm lagging on the pipes, and insulate and draught proof the attics doors to eliminate draughts.”
