The Christmas party season is almost upon us and, ahead of this, SALT Restaurant & Bar at 163 Upper Salthill has launched a new Christmas cocktail menu to really get us into the festive spirit.
Whether it is a sweet treat you are after or something a little stronger to fight the chills, the brilliant mixologists at SALT have got you covered. The new menu, which came into being yesterday, boasts a fabulous selection of festive tipple, the only problem will be deciding which to taste first.
Among the cocktails on the Christmas menu is a Yuletide. A combination of saffron gin, brandy, and apricot brandy, served with Christmas cake on the side, the Yuletide is guaranteed to warm you up this Christmas.
The candy cane, on the other hand, is a little sweeter with a mixture of cranberry juice, Campari, Triple Sec, lime juice, and sugar syrup. The Christmas SeXpresso – featuring Baileys, Licor 43, Kettle One Vodka, espresso, and vanilla syrup – is a festive take on the popular Espresso Martini, while SALT’s festive tipple (with Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich, homemade honey and ginger syrup, and freshly squeezed lemon juice ) will certainly give you a pep in your step.
The new Christmas cocktail menu at SALT is bursting with fabulous creations and with this in mind, it is easy to see why the Salthill hotspot has been shortlisted in two categories for the fourth annual Irish Craft Cocktail Awards.
