Forget the turkey, Christmas packages are game in Salthill Social
Salthill Social is launching a new festive menu that truly embodies the season of giving and sharing. Fusing value for money with fun, frivolity, and feast, party planners, staff nights out, and Christmas revellers alike, will all be flocking to the seaside location for their festive gatherings this year.
Available from Friday December 1 the party package includes a mixture of set dishes, drinks, and individual choices. Guests will be greeted with a warm mulled wine reception, before sampling a succulent selection from the popular “tapas with a twist” style sharing dishes.
These sharing plates comprise a mixed bruschetta board, followed by the hot and smokey chilli cheese nachos and dip, while finishing with the extremely popular calamari fritto. With the starters predetermined, guests can quickly settle into the fun ambience and relax with the edge quickly taken off their hunger.

Included in the deal is a choice of four different main courses ranging from chargrilled marinated chicken skewers, served with couscous and tabbouleh, or baked salmon fillet, mussel sweet potato and chorizo cassoulet, to St Kevin’s brie and caramelised red onion tartlet, and the Salthill Social Antipasto Plate. Although guests are invited to choose their own individual dishes all courses are served with sharing bowls of potato bravas, roasted vegetables, and mixed leaf salad.
The festive menu is just the latest in a list of innovative changes that have been introduced in recent months under the leadership of new manager Daragh O’Driscoll. O'Driscoll was hired in July with a remit to cement the Salthill Social as the go to casual dining restaurant in the vicinity and he did not waste any time. An updated menu, change of chef, front of house, and decor overhaul has already led to a well established day time trade. The new evening menu was launched in late October, and is fast building a reputation for the quality of food at affordable prices.
Add to the well-received brunch menu, Instagram famous tables, vegan options, and generous portions – not to mention the warm and inviting environment, it is easy to see why Salthill Social is fast becoming the new hot spot on the Galway social scene.
