Gort and Craughwell replay set for Sunday

Following their 1-10 to 0-13 draw last weekend in the county semi-final, Gort and Craughwell will face off again this Sunday in Kenny Park (12.30pm ) to see who will face Liam Mellows in the final on December 3.

A goal by Gort's man-of-the-match Aiden Helebert left them 1-07 to 0-7 up early in the second half, but four points from the Craughwell men, with Niall Healy in inspired form, put them into the lead, and it took a late late free from Galway defender Greg Lally to level the tie.

With both sides playing an extra man at the back, it made for a turgid affair with forwards struggling to find space as evidenced by the paucity of scores - Craughwell only hit 0-6 from play and Gort only registered 1-6 of their total from play.

Niall Healy was Craughwell's main scorer with 0-9 (7fs ), while Aiden Helebert notched 1-4 (2fs ) for the 2014 county champions.

Craughwell last won a senior county title in 1930, and after knocking on the door of senior success over the past few seasons, they will be massively keen to get to the final where they would fancy their chances against Liam Mellows.
