Salt Restaurant & Bar at 163 Upper Salthill opened its doors this summer to great acclaim. The stunning décor immediately attracted attention and the restaurant’s menus – both food and drink – ensured Salt quickly became a firm favourite with locals and visitors to the area.

This month, the creativity of the bar team was recognised when Salt was shortlisted in two categories for the fourth annual Irish Craft Cocktail Awards. The awards will be presented in Dublin at the end of this month, with SALT Restaurant & Bar in contention for Ireland's Best New Cocktail Bar and also for Connacht's Best Cocktail Bar.
With December quickly approaching, the team at Salt are excited to be celebrating their first Christmas in business. Throughout the month of December, Salt will be hosting Christmas parties, catering for groups of all sizes, where guests can look forward to a night of festive fun with prosecco on arrival, two and three-course dining options, live music, spot prizes and finger food.
Of course, Salt will be all decked out for Christmas and the tables tastefully decorated for the festive celebrations. For groups who wish to stay on after dinner for drinks – or to join the party downstairs in the jazz bar – Salt will also provide some finger food later in the night.
