This Saturday night (Nov 11 ), TG4 will screen a 70-minute tribute show in memory of singer Larry Cunningham.
The show, presented by Daniel O'Donnell will feature rare footage of Larry singing at the Wembley International Country Festivals and segments for TV shows he was featured on over the decades on RTE.
It will also have some of the current Country stars including Mike Denver, Philomena Begley, Hugo Duncan and one of Larry's hits will be sung in Irish by Declan Nerney and Connemara Country singer Patrick Connolly.
The live segment of the show was filmed at The Millennium Forum in Derry while an interview segment was filmed in Tuam with Galway Bay Fm presenter and Tuam Herald columnist Tom Gilmore who wrote the best-selling book "Larry Cunningham - A Showband Legend" published by Mentor Press, Dublin in 2009.
The TG4 show which is the first in a new series Opry Dhoire on Saturday night at 8.15.
