Winters Property hosted an information night for residential landlords on Monday last. The attendance of almost 100 people received an overview of the Galway property market and practical guidance on the Rent Pressure Zone and Minimum Standards in Accommodation legislation. Accountancy firm Grant Thornton also provided a briefing on purchasing property through a personal pension.
Commenting on the event, MD of Winters Property Enda Mc Guane said: “The purpose of the event was to inform existing private landlords and people considering purchasing property about the standards and regulations that apply in the sector as well as the most efficient way of purchasing that property. Private landlords have and continue to be the backbone of the rental market and are an essential part of solving the current shortage of rental accommodation in Galway and nationwide.”
Deirdre Greany, lettings expert with Winters, spoke on the evening. “We were delighted with such an excellent attendance at the event," she said. "Since the introduction of the Rent Pressure Zone and the updated housing regulations earlier this year we were in a great position to be able to provide information and answer queries for the landlords present on the night.”
