Fantasy Football review

And so round 11 of the Premier League came to an end with Jose Mourinho experiencing the Blues at Stamford Bridge and Everton completing a remarkable come back against Watford to win 3-2.

Fantasy managers will have a two week break as World Cup qualifiers come into focus for the fortnight ahead. However, nerves will be frayed, each and every manager in the Galway Advertiser Tribal Leader League in association with St Anthony's and Claddagh Credit Union, will cross their fingers and toes and hope none of their players gets injured on international duty.

But with no Premier League matches for the next two weeks let us have a look at the top three of our league at present.

1 Colm Shiel - The Testicles - 653

We have a new leader of the Tribal Leader League as Colm Shiel's men have taken top spot in the fourth month of the season. Consistency in selection has been the key strength of The Testicles with only five transfers all season. The tri-axis of Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, and Harry Kane have been the big point earners for Shiel as they have been scoring goals for fun. It is looking good for The Testicles at present but will they have the cojones for a title charge?

2 Kevin Fahy - Mayo Vallecano - 651

A decision by manager Kevin Fahy to make three transfers during game week 11 saw Mayo Vallecano hit with a costly eight point penalty which saw them knocked off their perch at the top of the table. Fahy has a lovely blend in his team with the defensive solidity of Cesar Azpilicueta and Stephen Ward, a creative midfield of Mohamed Salah, Richarlison, and Raheem Sterling, and the arch-predator, Sergio Aguero banging in the goals. Lying only two points behind the current league leaders, Fahy and his charges will be confident of winning back top spot.

3 Iain Kilbane - TouchMyVanDerHoorn - 646

In third spot, only seven points off the summit, are Iain Kilbane and TouchMyVanDerHoorn. Kilbane's side has a strong backbone with David de Gea in goal, Ben Mee commanding the defence, Mohamed Salah lording the midfield, and Harry Kane leading the line. Two four point penalties were handed down to TouchMyVanDerHoorn after making more than one transfer two game weeks running - without that points deductions Kilbane's men would be sitting pretty at the top of the Tribal Leader League. TouchMyVanDerHoorn have the quality to challenge for the title but if they will be in the mood to do so is another question.

That's the top three of the Tribal Leader League. Enjoy the football this weekend and come on Ireland.
